Forres Community Church
Forres Community Church is a Presbytery Mission Initiative of the Church of Scotland. We are seeking to grow a disciple-making network of house-to-house churches in Forres, Moray, with a longing to see ordinary lives—and our wider community—transformed by the good news of Jesus Christ.
Throughout the week we gather in a variety of ways: for prayer, Bible study, listening to God through Scripture (Lectio), fellowship, breaking bread, and sharing life together. Like the early church, we meet in homes and community spaces such as cafés, living out a rhythm of being both scattered in daily life and gathered in community.
We are people from many different backgrounds who are learning, step by step, to love and follow Jesus together. Whenever someone new joins us, we see it as a gift—trusting that God has already been at work in their story long before they arrive.

Kingdom Breakthrough Events
Kingdom Breakthrough Events are fun and focus on engaging with the local community. We offer people our own experience of God, we pray with people, we seek out those who need Him most, and do what we can (with much help from the Holy Spirit) to introduce people to Jesus.
Discovery Bible Studies
Discovery Groups are for curious people who want to explore the Bible and learn how God’s word can help answer life’s biggest questions. A DBS lasts about 90 minutes and we reflect on what a Bible passage is saying about God and Jesus, humans (including ourselves), and how we can respond with obedience. Its all about gathering round the Bible!
Dwelling in the Word
DiTW is our weekly time of listening for God in Scripture. We gather online to hear a Bible passage read aloud and we ask Holy Spirit to bring to our attention something important for us as a group and as individuals.
